1-2.5 inches high; nearly 3 inches in diameter.

"The early, central whorls are darker than the outer whorls, giving the appearance of an eye to the shell. Umbilicus deep but covered by a brown button-like callus" (Forey & Fitzsimmons, 1987, p. 54).
